As a cooperative business incubator, we believe cooperation and solidarity are the best responses to the indignities and material threats this crisis poses to humanity.

So we're standing with people in Northeast Ohio living without power during the pandemic, and with people at risk of having lights shut off when bills come due after the crisis, through a petition to demand that First Energy handle this crisis in a way that's humane and accountable.

Please join us and 500+ neighbors by signing here.

We're also conducting a blackout 8 - 9 pm tonight (Thursday, March 26) with the hashtag #covid19blackout. We'll turn out our lights for an hour, along with our partners Sunrise Ohio, Black Lives Matter Cleveland, Cuyahoga County Progressive Caucus, and Lakewood Community Solar Co-op.

Tonight, share a picture of yourself on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or your favorite social media platform with the hashtag #covid19blackout.

Together we'll send a message of support to those weathering this storm in the dark, and a call for transparency from First Energy -- a small, clear step towards an energy system more responsive to the needs of the people it serves.

You can read about our petition in an article in The Huffington Post.
